Not true. I've had tags attached to side seams on both sides.

It's true in 99% of the times, not only on t-shirts but on tops, blouses, shirts, jumpers, etc. It's usually where they stitch on the washing instructions and information on the composition of the fabric.

On turtlenecks there's also a seam on the left hand side of the 'neck', at the back.

Jesus wept! He was an asshole who built an economy based on people building houses and selling them. It was totally unsustainable and was bound to go tits up sooner or later. The fact that some people think he was an economic genius, yourself included, has made me realise just how full of ****ing eejits Ireland is.

PS: in case you're a ****ing eejit, I called you a ****ing eejit there.

I'd have thought Luas would remain Luas, like Euro.

The correct pluralisation of 'Euro' in the English language is 'Euros'.

The reason people think otherwise is because dumbass Charlie McCreevy misinterpreted an EU directive regarding pluralisation of the word in non-English languages, and subsequently told us all to disregard the established rules of English grammar and pronounce it 'Euro' just because the French do.
He still has a tiny part..boom boom.

    You'd know all about that

Sorry, but no. Nothing to do with McCreevy, and all to do with the ECB.

EDIT - I stand corrected, that was the case up until 2006 - http://www.ecb.europa.eu/pub/pdf/scplps/ecblwp2.pdf Footnote 111. It's still Euro on official documents, legislation and banknotes, though.

That it's pronounced barmbrack and not barnbrack. Have been calling it the latter all my life!

It comes from Bairín Breac. Barn Brack is probably closer to what it should be called.

Language evolves, words change. Not correcting you, just giving some context.

Who would decide to not allow it? The UN? Why would they do this? Who would enforce it? Would it be applied to poetry also? Would possession of this illegal music or poetry become an offence? How would this be enforced?

    There's obvious, and then there's tripe. :)

    Always called it barney brack.

Actually when they were talking about filming the irish version of the apprentice, Bill Cullen wanted to say "you're barney bracked" instead of "you're fired" Can't imagine why the said no:D

In fairness that version of the ad is rare, I've only ever seen it maybe twice and it was only then that I got it.
