ovulation query

    I'm ttc #2 for 6 months. Been using FF as guide. One chemical pg after 3 months. This month I got positive opks a bit earlier than the norm so worked my ov day as the day after last positive (i had 3 days on a row ) and this also coincided with temp shift etc. Given my usual luteal phase I'm 15 DPO. However FF changed my ovulation date to 3 days later so putting me at 12 DPO now. My question is that would mean I ovulated 3 days after my last +opk. And miscalculated dtd big time! I always believed ovulation took place within 12-48 max hrs after last +opk. So is it really possible after that? It's bugging me that I got my dates so wrong. Took a test today. Negative. But not really confident of my cycle date now so not giving up hope just yet.

    I have never used FF. But you're right you do ovulate 12-48 hours after the LH surge.
    I Always take my ov day to be (roughly) the day after I get the last positive cheapie opk.
    Or another way of looking at it is that the first day that I get a fainter line on a cheapie after having had a strong line the day before, is ovulation day.
    Have never temped so can't advise sorry.
