What is a fly hack? I was reading tag rugby rules last night and read that fly hacking is allowed at any stage of the game.
    Thanks

Kicking the ball on the ground during open play

I'm pretty sure It's kicking a loose ball on the ground. as opposed to gaining possession and then taking a controlled grub kick or whatever. It seems to be allowed in certain levels of tag. I got called up for it in whatever league i was in.

Yeah, the league I played in last summer allowed kicking a loose ball, you couldn't kick out of your hand though..

strange. ours was the opposite. could only kick from hand and it had to stay below the shoulder.

I think it changes in almost every league, first game is always a laugh getting called back with everyone scratching their head.
That summer league I mention above had the "hack" allowed, interwork league for charity that was run over 2 weeks had kicking like you describe it.

Yeah it's varied from even game to game within the same league. We usually ask the ref what's the rule with kicking the ball before we start

I was called up for it last night but it is quite clearly permitted in the rules.
