If your argument is he spent 300 million, every man and his dog knows he didn't.

300 million was spent while he was manager.

He was given a shortlist of players and got to choose from them. Players he wanted probably weren't even on the shortlist.

You'll be crying about the new manager before long.

Whether or not this is even true doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things...his job as a manager was to get the best out of the players at his disposal. He has failed to do that for over a year.

Dodgy signings aside, Liverpool were underperforming under Rodgers for quite some time. They have the 5th best squad in the league imo.

Point scoring is certainly no penis measuring.

He did get the best out of them, he finished 7th which was about right. The club made terrible signings.

    Yea, it does.

He's a mouth piece who has been rabbiting on for a long time about how criticism of Rodgers was unfair, his job was not realistically under immediate threat from FSG and scoffing at people thinking we'd make a move for someone like Klopp to replace him (who wouldn't even be interested in our advances if we were stupid enough to try)

He has subsequently been shown to be comprehensively wrong on all accounts and any poster worth their salt would hold their hands up and admit as much

Jesus lads the pettiness on both sides is ruining this thread. Used to be a great read. Now it's like a load of teenagers hit puberty at the same time. Could people grow the fcuk up and if not then shut the fcuk up? Sound.

I was wrong about him being sacked, that doesn't mean FSG went about it in the right way.

When we have our new manager & when he suffers poor results. Don't start referencing Rodgers saying we should have kept him etc please.

Did you not also think that if he was sacked we wouldn't go for the likes of Klopp?

For selfish reasons, I hope he doesn't take a job in the Premier League. He'll be nailed on to beat us this season and probably do the double next. I'm not just kissing his arse now that he's gone, I can just see that happening.

I want him to do well wherever he ends up next. No ill will for the man, just didn't want him managing Liverpool any more.

No intention of it, I'll let the results speak for themselves, I won't be like LuckyLloyd and Mr Alan hankering a hard on for an ex manager.

I won't harp back to an ex manager constantly.

I'll get behind the next manager just as much as I got behind the previous incumbent.

It's a shame that you can't claim to do the same.

Over the years on here or twitter/Facebook you may have heard me talk about our mini bus The Fun Bus. 15 of us from Irish Kop got together a few years ago and bought it for going the games.

Well Sky Sports found out about it and did a bit on us 2 years ago. Have a look, feel free to share it and help get the word out that you dont have to pay mad money to see LFC play.

2 Years ago today. Sky Sports following us, what could go wrong.

So lads, a question for you all.

Is any one of you against the Klopp appointment? Also, assuming he gets the job - how long do we give him?

I'm fully behind the appointment, I just don't feel he will give us as much of an improvement over Rodgers as people are expecting.
