Looking for scaffold or work platform

    Hi,

    I have a very high ceiling that I would like to hang a light to.
    It is 4.1m high and so I need some form of platform that takes me to around 1.5 to 2m below this. I need to drill a new fitting into place so it needs to be stable and allow me to have tools up there. The position means I can't get a ladder to reach.

    The hire shops have one which would do the trick but won't hire for a day or half day and I am not prepared to spend 220 euro for a week of hire for about an hours work (max).

    Does anybody have any other ideas what options I might have.

    I'm in the Galway area just before Oughterard.
    I've spoken to electricians and they all said they'd also need to hire the gear, so they'd just pass on the cost.
