If we had won 10-0 would you have changed your mind?

A pathetic result but this competition is of no concern to me.

    Answer the question.

A straight yes would've been fine.

Like I said, this competition is less than meaningless to me.

A performance like this against Villa and I'd be more concerned.

Was it a good performance tho??

Some fans not even hanging around for extra time apparently. Voting with their feet.

This is the worst atmosphere ive ever seen in Anfield. The carlisle fans were doing the 'whey, whey, whey' thing for every pass. There was a stat there that Carlisle have conceded more than any other team in the football league this season. a few boos but general apathy.

The players dont know what theyre doing. Some actual really good players. They all look frustrated.

    Its over.

Saying that this competition, which is England's 2nd most prestigious cup competition is of no concern to you or the club is a loser's attitude imho.

    Yep, everyone bar Lovren.

Its the manner of this performance that really worries me though. The lack of tactical discipline, or any attacking nous.

Its more worrying to see this exact display against Carlisle than it is Villa, for me.

This is different to the West Ham and Stoke losses, even. Its one of the oddest games I've seen. We're atrocious.

If PFF were rating our players, as they do in the NFL, I wager this would be as bad a grading as you'll likely to see from a top tier team in a hell of a long time.

Seems almost every individual decision or move is the wrong thing to do.

    Home v Bournemouth. Maybe.

You accept that we're not a top 4 team so why is the league a concern to you?

    Yes.

And if there was a chance to go with Klopp or Ancelotti tomorrow, would you rather give Rodgers the 3 months?

Im watching this seeing Milner make bad decisions and then look upset and then im thinking 'he's captain now'.

I've reached the point now where i'm comfortable in saying I dont think Rodgers can turn this around and he should be replaced.

Is there a chance to get them in the morning?

You have no idea if either manager is wanted by FSG or if they would join the club, just like me.

I have named my first choice for the job and its neither of those 2.

Its really very simple. FSG didnt sack him when they would have been well within their right to do so, brought him in a whole new backroom staff and backed him with millions. He will not be sacked this side of christmas, arguing otherwise is pointless.

    This is absolutely dire.

Jordan Ibe is fast and strong, that's it. He'd be as well becoming a sprinter. He has no footballing brain.

who are they? For me Ancelotti would be ideal. Please not another flavour of the month two season wonder. Not Klopp.

I'll give a positive from tonight: Ings does look like a good third choice striker to have.

    Unai Emery.

Carlisle singing 'sacked in the morning'. Liverpook fans deathly silent.

Thought they'd be singing it too tbh.

I don't read all your posts, was it Emery? I'll ask the same question again with him/whoever, and never mind what you think could happen. You're not shy of a few hypotheticals yourself, so...

United fan here but I really think opposition fans that sing this should be flogged in the streets. Probably the most distasteful thing I've seen in football and that's some list to top.

Gonna be hard for the boys to put a positive spin on this.

We have one "cup doesn't matter" registered ahead of the whistle, anyway.

    Unai Emery.

For finishing 5th in the Spanish league? No thanks. Failed in Moscow too. UEFA cups are not impressive frankly. Cant hold a candle to Ancelotti's CV

I would swap him for Emery right now.

    Klopp or Ancelloti? No thanks.
