There's no way he walks away from a loss tonight.

There's no real performance element to these cup games.

You either win them or you don't and in the situation we are at the moment, if he can't somehow figure out a win, especially with a strong team selection, it surely has to be curtains for him.

Honestly think that tonight's result won't hasten his departure. He has until Christmas at least. Death by a thousand cuts.

In other news the guy who scored the opening try for France tonight looks a bit like Emre Can

With that in mind I'm going to keep pretending I'm watching Liverpool

What the hell does this team do all week in training??? There is no cohesion in this team at all.

Lads, this stream. I feel like I'm watching a pay-per-view that needs to be topped up with 10c every 20 seconds.

I'm starting to think that poster Augeo is jinxing Brendan Rodgers with all his support and predictions of winning every game imo :)

    Clock would be ticking.

Each loss or bad result lessens the time he gets.

Bad result now and Villa, its a matter of weeks not months anymore.

I'd say Rodgers will be gone after the next game he doesn't win.

What the fcuk is Milner doing taking corners, he's Aspas levels of ****e at them. Its like he thinks as stand in captain he has to do as Gerrard did for oh so many years and hit the first man.

There are some parts of this game, I'd love to have on video, sit Brendan down and say, please, please, explain what was going on here.

Glad I can't find a proper stream of this! :)

Think I'll go out and watch the kids kicking ball on the green outside my house, sounds like a better match tbf.... :P

Sure, the clock is ticking. I think though that the owners, having invested heavily, will allow until Christmas to see how things are, allowing the players a settling in period.
    Ridiculous but plausible.

I'd love to read that notebook he is always writing in and see does it explain anything.

Our corner that 2 touches later ended up with Bogdan was a particular favourite :o

I stopped watching the French a couple of years back when Sébastien Chabal retired. That was one handsome fcuker.

Aspas score the middle two goals for blue in this compilation. Nice work.

Aspas brace sends Celta de Vigo top of the league for now.

I'd say it goes like this -

Post match analysis by Brendan age 42 and a half

    "Courage"
    "Outstanding"
    "Great Character"
"Carlisle did well for the goal"
    "Bogdan was fantastic"
    "Excellent performance"

    He really wasn't.

Showed plenty of great little touches, but was too lightweight for the league. The corner thing is the overriding memory, but he was clearly a decent player, just not a premier league player.

    Maybe not a prick.

The French No.2, now that's fantastic hair. Like something out of a fairytale

If I didn't know any better, I'd think I was watching us struggle to beat Carlisle, while the manager's job was on the line.

    15 minutes from non viable.

The joy of Milner is quickly fading away...

Read a stat today that the last three non premier league teams we faced at this stage of the cup took us to extra time. Boro last year, Notts County and Northampton with Hodgson.

I won't be surprised if Carlisle take us to extra time.
