    Hi All
I urgently (before next Friday) need to get a copy of the court record regarding a case I was involved in back in 2005 which was heard in the circuit court. Does anyone have any info on the best way to get this? Can I just walk into the court office give them the details, show them my ID and get a copy or do I need to go through my solicitor
    Thanks.

Depending on what you need it for and what info. Your solicitor who represented you put in writing the outcome. If it's regarding a conviction on your part you can apply through garda vetting office but as its for yourself you will have to fill out a special form.

I need it for a Visa application. I have a conviction going back to 2005 and need the court record showing the nature of the offense(s) committed, the section(s) of law contravened and the actual penalty imposed (also need the police cert which I've also applied for and should have in the next few days)

Garda vetting should provide this, otherwise the best way to expedite it would be via the solicitor who represented you at the time
