I have been paying Tax and USC like everyone else, but seen this (ee prsi ctrb) on my payslip for first time since I started this job 18 months ago.

I don't mind paying what I have to but I'm not exactly on huge wages and this took a good whack from my pay this month.

Is this something I will have to continue with or any chance I may be able claim it back?

    It's employees prsi contribution.

With employee prsi , you pay nothing if you earn less than €352 p/w .
If you earn €353 you have to pay 4% on all €353 .

If your social insurance class is A , then it is capped at 4%

So if I earned 350 pw I don't have pay it, so baiscally the less I earn the more I have?

And I don't even make that pw which is strange.
