which printer?

Need a printer to use in the van for work to print invoices, needs to be able to print from an android phone, power supply isnt an issue as I have an inverter, also black and white is sufficent,speed isnt an issue either as it would be used a few times a day, the main issue would be size,the smaller the better,

Almost all Lasers take a huge chunk of power on starting up; so much so, most UPS suppliers state to avoid using laser printers on the UPS, even when not on battery.
Long and short, you can't use a laser on a inverter.

Inkjets are not going to be effective with low volume use, so you need to look at some sort of thermal, even dot matrix are still in the mix.

That Hp has been a repeated disaster for me. I havent used any other ones, but the bigger Epson workforce series, and also Brother printers have been flawless.

The inverter im using is a 300 watt seinwave connected straight to the heavy duty battery, I doubt its goin to need any more power than that at startup surely?

Just looked at the spec on the samsung and its rated at 310w so thats a non runner, thanks for the help guys

Best thing i can suggest to you is to pull the battery from the printer. Most trouble i get with these is not powering up or shutting down correctly.
