Today I did some detailing...

Excellent work FN, fair play to you!

So a family member bought an ex an post kangoo to replace the ford escort workhorse, it survived 10 years of abuse but the chassis is full of rust!

The postie has been on a farm for a while, never cleaned. Interior as you'd expect. It still had all the markings of a post van just without the stickers lol. So of course I saw it as a challenge...

Started out with APC, Washed, detar, washed, Polished using chemical guys 3n using hex logic hand pads, sealed using smartsealant( had it knocking about and wanted to try it out) trim and tyres treated with CG new look gel

Not a bad result given the minimum effort and all by hand!

Great job so far.

I have Menzerna's 2200 to go on next followed by their finishing polish, I'll probably seal it with C2V3 and then wax it with King Of Gloss or Fusso Black.

That's fair enough, just the wax it is!

Stage 2 finished with Menzerna 2200 on a White Diamond Cut pad, speed 2 to spread it and speed 5 to buff in.





Probably do stage 3 Friday, maybe tomorrow depending on how lazy I feel :pac:

@MisterJingles: Yeah I clean it or snowfoam it if I've driven it after one of the stages.

What the hell is that vent for along the bottom of the rear windscreen? Had it in my 335 and it never cleared that window when the fan was on!

More this week than today. But did this Hyundai as a cheer up for cousins, while there on holiday, who have had hard year.











Several wash's, rinses, claying, polishing and some dressing hours later

Wheels were somewhat caked and decided to stop here as time was a issue.

If someone left their car at mine like that and said 'oh hai I hear you like washing cars'. I would just quickly turn around and nope, nope, nope away into the distance.

Nice work edburg - they'll be chuffed with that! But tell them to wash their wheels more regularly With something like Bilt Hamber Auto Wheel - wow they were rough!

Half way through the last stage and it starts to lash and it looks like it's going to stay I need a shed!

Your headlights still need some work. Looking well apart from that though!
