Jedi post Episode VI - Return of the Jedi

    Hi, I have just a quick question, I am very new to the expanded universe stuff, and I am wondering how many Jedi exist after the final events of Episode VI, Return of the Jedi.

    Is it just Luke..?

    I was reading the thread on this forum, Star Wars Novels, (http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2056149308) and aparently Luke is the last Jedi and goes about creating a New Jedi order by finding people with Force sense, and starting an academy.

    I have an app downloaded, Wikia: Star Wars , and in it there are many mentions of Jedi that survived the purge, order 66, and went into hiding. There are a lot of data to get through on the app.

    Anyone have a weblink of Jedi that exist after the Return of the Jedi, (if any) besides Luke.

    My understanding was that in the years between episode 3 and 4 Vader went and killed the rest of the Jedi, that left 2 Sith and 2 Jedi, then at the end of RotJ there was just 1 left Jedi left to restart it all again, that brings up a lot of questions about the prophecy of "Bringing balance to the force", surely 2 Sith and 2 Jedi was balanced and then it was up for grabs.

    That's not to say there couldn't be a lot of "partially" trained Sith or Jedi around, like the Emperor's Red Guards who were force aware and even partially trained in some aspects.

    From reading the New Jedi Order series on the Yuuzhan Vong, a few more survived other than Luke Skywalker and came back and helped in the fight.
