Speaking from experience, those hospital pictures are actually revolting. :pac:

Edit: the post crash pics are pretty bad as well

The spokes in my front are coming loose and the retainer screw keeps ending up in the cavity of the wheel. I had two loose after my commute yesterday so I fished them out and put them back in and nipped them up knowing I'd have to get lbs to have a look to make sure wheel is straight and true.
Another one came loose today, is it just a badly put together wheel or is it me being too heavy for the bike at the moment? (104kg and dropping fast ;) ) Is threadlock a bad idea?
Going to lbs tomorrow anyway so means I'll have to car myself to work tomorrow.
Wheels are the standard that came on the bike, Scott Syncros I think they're called

Thanks for the wishes, everything went well thank you! No private room, in a ward of over
40+ of us in this ward and there's only one nurse on all night by herself. She won't get a break until her shift is over.:( It's absolute madness. There isn't enough money in the world to pay people to do that.

It's actually 23, I said it to some of the other staff as my mind boggled at that number too! Still a huge amount of patients for one nurse though.

Not sure if this is anywhere else on here but congrats to Ryan Sherlock on a fine MTB performance in Mogolia which included a stage win and second overall despite having a sizeable chunk of his knee removed in a crash!

    Chapeau Ryan!

He's a total *****. He's always been one. Think of something horrible that a person could say - he probably has said it, or will say it soon.

Missed the memo about it being national Fred day. On my spin to work this morning saw a group of 6, all in full team kits (Alixpress crap). Must say it really perked up my morning seeing a lad with full fake movistar kit, asics runners, a catlike vacuum and a Carrera TDF.

Suspension stem..wonder would it hinder performance with things like sprinting at full gas

Missed the memo about it being national Fred day.

The Irish are the Freds of Europe. And Boardsies are the Freds of Ireland. And the cycling forum Boardsies are the Freds of Dublin. So say it once and say it loud, I'm a Fred and I'm proud.

To be fair, the type of people who want a comfy suspension stem probably won't have enough of a sprint to hinder anything...and they probably wear Aliexpress Movistar Kit.

Listened to Mrs RS advice/judgement about not going out to finish off my 200km for the week today because of a fecky little cough I've had for the last week or two (and also not risking pneumonia again).

Being sensible has never felt so bad.
