Great! And finally an evening flight to AMS from Dublin on a Friday after the working week is over (Aer Lingus' latest flight has always been at about 17h)
Flights are indeed €20 each way on Fridays & Sundays but that's still a bargain!
Weekend in AMS sorted for end of November :)

    Thanks for the info OP.

Just booked SUN-MON flight at the beginning of November.

Great to see competition on this route. I just booked Fri - Sun with front row reserved seats for two people at €140. Great value compared to Aer Lingus pricing. Delighted, I love visiting Amsterdam.

Just picked up flights for a Thursday to Monday in November. Don't even know if I'll be able to go yet but at €20 return I'll happily take the risk!

Is Amsterdam a good place to bring two young children?

Heineken Experience is a must as is Anne Frank House.
After that, can't think of anything else to do in Amsterdam ;););).

Thurs-sun in late Nov booked for 30 return, xant beat that.

I did see that on some flights 'there are only x seats left at this price' must be flying thru the cheap seat sale...

    Booking.com

Had a quick look, not a cheap city for accommodation.

Especially when they charge you by the hour.

Have a look at renting out an apartment/house on Airbnb.

This is too good to be missed. Booked same day return on a Saturday for 20EUR. Flight is only 1:30 so gives plenty of time to explore the city!

Flights booked this afternoon, flying out 31/10 and back on 04/11 for the princely sum of €19.98. Belter of a bargain 😄

Be careful over there, there's a good chance you'll bump into one of your work mates, neighbours, cousins, mother and father when you walk outta one of them booths with rosy red cheeks, Oct/Nov is gonna be heaving with Irish

You should consider bidding on a 4 or 5* hotel using Priceline's 'Name Your Own Price' function - preferably within the City Centre & Central Canals zones. I've used it myself in Amsterdam on a few occasions and have secured rooms in very decent properties at a great discount.

For proximity to the Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh or Stedelijk Museums, the Park Plaza Vondelpark is a good mid-range hotel, where you'll often bag a double for €90 or less in late Autumn. Centraal station, Dam Square, the Jordaan & Pijp neighbourhoods & the red light district are only a few minutes hop away by tram.

For those on a budget, I'd recommend the Van Onna on the Bloemgracht canal in the beautiful Jordaan - it's about three minutes walk from the Anne Frank house & the Westerkerk.
