Im gonna drive back and forward, it's only 1hr from where I live. Do the ESB cover accommodation for those who don't drive?

Everyone gets their country money when they're in Portlaoise, regardless of weather you stay or not

It's says in the contract that if its outside 50km from your house you'll get paid for accommodation on top of money for food and travelling money ☺️

Fairly dull so far. We've met somebody from Solas, learned how to fill time sheets, covered manual handling and first aid today. Safe pass is tmw 8-5

We did and no everything is free. There's loooad of gear so bring €20 for a locker, it's just a deposit you'll get it back later.

Hey lads. Did ye have your leaving cert results when you applied ? I'm doing my leaving this year but ESB take the applications months before I'd get my results. I've a fairly decent junior cert believe it or not . won't have too bad a leaving either. I was thinking about applying for it next year using my junior cert results, do you think it's worth my while ? What tools do you get for free ? Is that just a once off to get you going or is that free tools whenever u need them ? Thanks ☺️

Do apply, the minimum they require is junior cert and they'll take in to consideration that you'll be awaiting LC results! The tool box is full of various size screwdrivers, Philips and flatheads, hammer, spirit level, level t square aaall sorts of stuff!

You need to organise your own accommodation, you'll be reimbirsed later. However, the first group are there for 7 weeks so it'll probably all be booked up.
