Texel x Belclare hoggets which ram??

    hello I baught 40 hoggets there a Texel cross belclare which ram should I put with the was going to go with either a charlaois or belclare ?

    I'd say Charolais or vendeen for first time lambing,lively lambs at lambing.

    Charolais all the way. Be sure to scan Belclares can be very prolific.

    Depends what you want to achieve! If you wanna sell fat lambs then use a charollais. If you wanna breed replacements there is no need to use a belclare as you already have the belclare gene(proloficy) in youre ewes.
