Hey I'm wondering if it's possible to use a sansamp for recording by plugging it in between my bass and interface

I've not used these before but obviously they have a great reputation.

It would be nice to be able to plug my bass more or less straight in without much complications.

I was thinking maybe this particular model http://www.tech21nyc.com/products/sansamp/gt2.html

It'll probably be another one of them pedals I'll put on my wishlist and not get for a while but still no harm doing some research.

Yeah, that's what it's for! It's a DI box. You can use the 1/4" or XLR out to your interface and it'll give a strong enough line level signal. It would be better than plugging your bass directly in. Is your bass active?

Awesome. I shall try and get one whenever I can then.

    No it's not active.
