Adrian sent off for West Ham today, I think a straight red is a 3 match ban so that will keep him out of the match at Anfield in a fortnight. Darren Randolph is their second choice keeper

Mystic Levia with another cryptic message, working out with Bob Marleys Exidous on in the background.

I just revisited all that anger again. Thanks.

Wasn't it the same season when Et'o absolutely took Suarez out of it at Stamford Bridge in the penalty area and Webb waved play on. That was just as bad.

I'll match your cryptic Lucas tweet with a cryptic Mario tweet.

There's an insightful quip somewhere comparing this Howard Webb revelation with escaping negative consequences by egressing temporarily from, say, an online forum. We just need someone to find it.

Shelvey was the natural succesor to Gerrard, bot Henderson.

A similar way of playing, granted. But vastly inferior in quality every way possible. Not being disparaging to Jonjo but Gerrard at his peak was simply magnificent. Shelvey isn't and won't be. Also trying to replace like for like with a player like Gerrard is nigh on impossible (similar to Suarez).

Have we been trying to make Henderson Gerrard? Aside from giving him the captaincy.

Gerrard at Shelveys age was magnificent. On a completely different level

Shelvey wanted to leave because he wasn't guaranteed a starting spot...it's not like he was hounded out of the club. He has a decent game once in a while but I'm glad he's gone. He's getting on grand at Swansea so the best of luck to him.

Decent article in the Guardian today on Balotelli....kinda sad how it's all worked out but it's not really surprising.

I think this quote sums him up....Mario Sconcerti in Corriere della Sera once described him as a player with “an unusual talent for making people happy when he arrives and even happier when he leaves”.

After all that happened with him before with other clubs, it was naive of us to think that we could do something to change Mario. We were desperate for a striker at the time and now we are stuck with him. Reading how little he is worth now compared to a few seasons ago really hammers home how hard it will be to get rid of him.

I genuinely thought it would work out at the time....based largely on THAT performance against Germany and a vague recollection of him being half decent for City. Sure, he might be a bit eccentric and slightly crazy but I thought he would have the maturity to knuckle down, work hard and apply his talent on the pitch.

Sadly this hasn't happened and apportioning blame for the failure is futile at this stage. If the options last season was a choice of Balotelli, Etoo or nobody then you can see why the risk was taken. The real question should be why were these the only options????

Rodgers is freezing him out at the moment so that he will see the light and realise that his career will be finished if he doesn't get his shít together soon. Mario will respond with 27 goals this season, starting with a hattrick against united. Mark my goddamn words, kids.

I think we left it too late...not so sure who dropped the ball but we were so unprepared this time last year. Lots of players brought in but not a 20-goal a season striker. This year we seem better equipped, at least on paper with the signings brought in early on and more balance to the team brought in.

Mario did have flashes of brilliance but agree about the lack of maturity. I think he is just lazy.

Another win for the U19s in Holland 3-1 win against the Red Bull Brazil that should put them in the semi final.
Goals from Yan Dhanda (x2) and Harry Wilson. I've yet to see more than the odd glimpse of Dhanda, he seems to be making strides at his level.

Played Barcelona in the semi final loosing 2-1

Kelleher, Alexander-Arnold, Canos, Chirivella, Dhanda, Madger Gomes, Kane, Parker, Virtue-Thick, Whelan, Wilson.

Unless it was serious foul play it may only be one match for the first red.

My first post! Long time reader/lurker though. First reaction when i heard bout Ballotelli signing was Noooooooo, Noooooooooooo, well ye get the idea. Just don't rate him as a professional footballer, as a guy playing with his mates he would be great. He lacks the discipline, maturity and drive to play consistentally at top level. Never worried when he played against Liverpool for the above reasons. Waste of natural physical talents lost in man/child body. Do accept he can have the rare moment of brilliance, probably more suited to internatinal football if that makes sense.

I find that a mad session on Friday erases Saturday so it moves the Monday match forward by a day. Basically a poor man's time travel.

matteo kovacic name has popped up again linked with us.

also saying Real Madrid are interested in signing him. if they do sign him i can see them giving us illaremendi then.

He kicked Jamie Vardy in the chest. Looked like serious foul play to me! I think it's a three match ban unless West Ham appeal. Which they surely won't win if they do.

Looking forward to see how Arsenal do today. Palace are a much better side now than at any stage in recent years and they are certainly better than a West Ham side that beat Arsenal last week but Palace have a dreadful record against the Gunners... Sanchez back in the team too.

These Monday kick-offs are a serious drag, though. And two in a row is no fun at all!

Welcome to the form and +1 to your points made.

I found it particularly telling that he does not even know some of his team mates' names after being there a year.

That would be nice of them and it would save us some money if they are just giving away players.

I wonder can we just give the Melwood 3 away like that.
