What does a home visit entail, JSA

My JSB ran out 3 months ago and I've been living on my savings since. I was a lecturer and my college shut. I'm now running out of money and have to apply for JSA. I am unmarried, with one child (10). What does The visit entail? Do they interview my son? Go through bedrooms, private property? My mortgage is paid for by my son's father but it's living expenses that are critical now. I trawled the department's website and citizens info but it didn't tell me what I need to know.
Am not familiar or have much knowledge of this allowance.
    Thank you for any help.

    Hi,

An inspector called to me unexpected. I was told they would let me know when they were coming but he just called without letting me know. He was very nice. He basically came in and we sat down and he just asked general questions about where I had worked previously, was I still seeking work. General questions then like did I have any property or farm land, accounts with savings, how much income was coming into the household and how much was going out. Its not too bad just normal questions.

Is it true the look in the rooms to see if they can find evidence of others living there ?

In my case and a few I know nobody ever checked or asked to check rooms.
