When it comes to bit part players that done ****alll in a Liverpool shirt, I am 100% in the Rodgers camp.

Maybe Rodgers is a bit of a tool and could talk for Ireland but at the end of day, he needs to be content with the group of players at his disposal and if that means getting rid of Borini, Balotelli and Enrique, then so be it.

I will not be missing any sleep over them.

Exactly. At the end of the day if the players are giving their all then he will have no reason to want them gone.

Youd swear these players actually made a difference for us. They done nothing for us and dont look like they are even trying. That type of attitude is a spreadable virus that needs to be gotten rid of before it takes over other players.

Coutinho left out of the latest Brazil squad.

Bust up with the manager. FAI should put in a bid for him.

personally i think there are quite a few who take everything they hear about lfc that could piss them off on a daily basis very seriously, and it actually does piss them off and get them hot and bothered. whether there is truth to it is another matter entirely, in fact it seems a secondary consideration.

    mind boggling

Good news. Not for him probably but good for LFC.

Yes agree totally. I was slated for suggesting Balotelli's antics could be lowering the bar in terms of the professionalism expected of the players and for being a poor example for the younger / more impressionable members of the squad.
Cut the chancers out and start the season with renewed vigour.

Rodgers has been smart with the media imo. He has them all on side because he is very open to them the opposite of Kenny. The leaks about Balotelli to me are probably true. He doesn't seem a bad character but at times he can be very childish. Kinda funny how he scored an OG though considering he could barely score in the right end.

How has Rodgers thrown any of these players under a bus recently? Honestly?

The only time he did anything that even resembled that was when he told us all last season that he was the first ever manager to get Balotelli to mark at set pieces.

Making senior players train away from the 1st team with youngsters or whoever is poor tbh. Can't be good for the players morale, both them and the others in the squad. It just comes across a a díckish move.

What happens if 1 or more of them are not sold? Welcome them back to the lads?

    Awful man management imo.

Or it will encourage them that are enjoying excellent lifestyle that a football package entails to seek alternative employment with another club.

It's the same in any job, if your employer wants to move you on, you get the crap jobs nobody else wants to do until you move on. Either way, your employer wins with you gone or someone doing the crap tasks.

Yeah maybe, but imo it's just not required.

Don't think it's a problem myself and I'd imagine it's a common enough occurrence at clubs. Rodgers doesn't want the players the players know that so chances are they won't be at full pelt in training which is not what's needed for the rest of the squad. It should also help encourage them to leave which is what's in the interest of the manager and the club.

What happens if they don't all leave though?

Pretty awkward and not good for morale. Leave them with the youngsters for the season?

That's a pretty positive article. Hopefully that's how things turn out and as a group there is far more hunger, discipline and will to win than last season.

He made Suarez train with the younger a and he responded by nearly leading us to the league.

I dont think they are even training with the reserves as of now, as for morale, thats their tough **** they were told they are surplus to requirements. Cant see it effecting club morale either.

Difference is Suarez wanted to leave for Arsenal and didn't want anything to do with Liverpool lets not forget that these guys want to stay because they will also never get paid like this ever again.

No one would leave their job if they had a contract and their employer was trying force them out of their job if it meant they had to they a 25% to 50% pay cut.

So are you saying one of these guys will completely transform for us and become a revelation?

Completely different scenarios anyway. Suarez said he wanted out and was trying to force himself a move. Not sure even Rodgers would try to claim credit for that move.

Can't see it effecting club morale? We've already had Moreno come out and back one of them. If they don't leave in this window it will effect the morale of the other players

Happens all the time in all sorts of workplaces, up and down the country. It's happening to a woman I work with, because, despite being a nice enough person, she's turned into a deadbeat over the last year and a half. I hope she lands something somewhere that suits her better for her own sake. I hope it's soon, because I'm sick of picking up the slack, and she's a dreadful example to some of the more impressionable types around her. A football club is, amongst other things, a place of work.

For every one in the squad like Moreno feeling sorry for them, there'll be others who can't wait to see the back of them.

That's bollox to be honest, all the players are professionals they know how this game works, young or experienced. If your not wanted you find a new club or sit out your contract, this isn't anything new.

If it's effecting you so much why don't you look for another job then that will pay you 25% to 50% less than you are on now maybe you will be happier in the end.

there are players who dine on the prestige of being at Liverpool, and there are those who know they are incredibly lucky to have the privilege and pour everything they have into the club.

The first type: why would anyone stick up for these sort of guys? Downing was one, thought he'd arrived, instead of realising that the hard work was supposed to be just beginning. Every club has them, the sort who only shake a leg when a contract is up for discussion.

The message to those guys should always be "jog on".

Why would I do that? I like my job and work hard at it, get recognition for that hard work, just got a pay rise, and I'll probably bag a promotion in the next 6 months.

You seem determined to confuse logical, reasonable behaviour with something negative. Rodgers gives me a pain in the hole on a regular basis for all sorts of reasons, but pushing deadbeats towards the door at the club I support is not one of them. I'd much prefer if the details hadn't been public, mind.

I'd be happy enough all 3 going tbh. That's not the argument though.

The funny thing is Rodgers bought 2 of them.

There's rumblings of more players been frozen out too. Not sure how true it is, we'll know soon I'd imagine.

What's reasonable about the way the are being treated the are contracted to the club for x number of years and if they haven't broken any terms of those contracts they are being treated unfairly.

Why would they give up the pay there are getting for a job they all love because one man doesn't rate them.

There is now way any of us would walk away from £35k, £50k and £100k a week unless it was being matched somewhere else.

If you can't see that well there is nothing more to say.

    Your last sentence is key.

Sell them for sure. Isolating them is just a power and dickish thing tbh

Jesus, how many more interviews by players having a cut off the club do we need to see this year? Sterling, Enrique, Skrtel, Moreno, anyone else?

How is Moreno having a go at the club?
