    Hi
I was hoping someone might be able to answer this
I have a site , about 1 acre and i am hoping to apply for full planning permission soon. I was wondering if it is possible to perhaps include a temporary structure such as a log cabin or mobile home that myself and the wife could live in during construction near the site. Could that form part of the plan or would it be a seperate application ?
    Thanks

It's very possible. Talk to the planner first though. My friends done it a few years back in Garristown, Co. Meath while they built the family home but rules and regulations were not enforced as much back then iirc.

Maybe a mobile home with a time limit on its placement.

It could form part of the application, and then the planners would likely condition it that the temporary structure (cabin/mobile home) is to be removed (or at least not used to rent out to someone else etc) after the house is completed. Should be simple enough but get whoever is doing your planning application to ask the planner about it, whether in a pre-planning clinic or informal phone call. Should be the simplest way to sort things out.
