So by the looks of things were finished signing players in this window and its a matter of shifting the ****e from the squad.
Have to say its been a good window but the greed in me would love one more quality signing such as a illararmendi. Anyone else think we have one more in us ?

Not without some player sales first.

Illararmendi isn't someone I would call a quality signing. Probably a downgrade on Lucas if anything. He's prone to a couple of howlers most games.

Still though maybe he would get more opportunites to prove himself here.

Cant see anymore first team signings regardless of sales

Selling Sakho and leaving a past it Toure and a player who has never played a game for Liverpool Ilori as cover for CB would be would be a big mistake.

I really hope those reports are wrong.

Sure Can will be there to cover as CB and DM and RB and anywhere else needed I guess.

There's no doubt in my mind Sakho should be no.1 with Skrtel.

Well if this is the season that Rodgers is generally asserting himself by using 'his' preferred signings rather than the committee ones he just kind of went along with, Illarramendi doesn't strike me as a Rodgers one.

I personally hope we keep Mario at this stage.

    - He isnt actually causing any real trouble at the club
    - He still has ability that has yet to be displayed here
    - If we sell him we wont replace him
    - We have loads of games this year in the Europa and domestic cups

These reasons are why I think we should be happy if we dont end up selling him.

I would hate it if we end up loaning him out or selling him and pay his wages. As long as we are paying him I am happy for him to be here and try to fight for a spot in the team.

To be honest, I'd rather he stayed as well, at this stage. It doesn't look like we are going to get any big offers, so whats the point of selling.
His value can't drop anymore and he might come in useful at some stage.

Also he might have another great euros and we can flog him off for a profit then.

Of course he does! Won't get the same wages elsewhere, so will steal another year then get a nice fee for a free transfer...

Um, he has a contract with the club, which both he and the club entered into in good faith.

Shame on him for wanting that contract honoured.

Yet another example of a fan holding a player to higher morals/ethics than they'd hold themselves too.

    Grow up.

    "Steal another year" indeed. :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

I was kidding,I added my own remark from previous pages into that article. But as for rest of his comments, it clearly comes arcoss as a man who is saying I won't get near as much money to move on,so I'll stay and '' fight'' fight in FIFA 2016 that is.

He wont kick ball for us, of that I'm certain, Rodgers would play Yesil ahead of him.
Benteke, Sturridge, Origi, Ings, Firmino (can play no.9) all ahead of him. Rodgers doesn't nor ever has wanted him.

If Lucas is moved on I would expect Jordan Rossiter to be promoted, to a starter in early cup games/Europe. He's 18 now, if he's as good as people in the academy say, now is his time to breakthrough.

Well the plan changed when Can came on and Lallana went off (and yes he was poor), Rodgers conservative tactic held Stoke and let them do plenty of running about he then sought to push Liverpool forward.

I swear I've never seen a win so taken apart by supporters! It was a very particular game which demanded very particular tactics and strategies. Do not lose, nick one late. It worked.

I wasn't taking the win apart, I just thought some here would have been interested in what I noticed watching the game that others might not have seen, that's all

Because for the last 2 months all we've had is rubbish rumour after rubbish rumour and speculation piled on top of more speculation. It's nice to have an actual game to talk about.

I'd much rather the thread be in meltdown over a win than in meltdown over us paying 15m quid for a Barcelona B player that we never bloody signed.

So complaining for the sake of complaining....seems about right with this place.

How am I holding him to a higher standard? I am paid to do a job, and I do it. If the company no longer needed my skills, told me that I'd sit at the desk doing nothing every day, I'd be off. It's about self worth.

He's a footballer, he should want to play. He doesn't, he just wants to get paid. He knows for FACT that he cannot 'fight for his place', we are more likely to use Maguire to be honest.

I'm all grown up, thanks anyway...

Unfortunately we've reached a stage in football that him and Borini can get 50k a week by doing that.

Eh I'm not on Enrique's side here but rather the side of sense. Before being a footballer Enrique is a human being. Whether you care to admit it or not alot of people love money. Professional football pays ALOT of money therefore alot of people see sport as a great way to make lots of money. Therefore we have alot of people in the game just for the money, not for the love of the sport. This idea that he is a footballer and therefore should want to play football is idealistic to say the least.
He is probably getting everything he wants from Liverpool right now, i.e. a paycheck and none of the stress or hassle of actualy having to play professional football.

Personally I'd love that. Being paid for doing pretty much nothing would be great.

Saying these players are stealing wages is a bit much as well.

There's a reason why FSG made so much noise about making remuneration for players performance-related, and similarly why they've had so much hassle actually making it stick.

Yeah, can't say I have much of a problem with Enrique to be honest. He wasn't hanging about playing Fifa by his own choice - he's had close to two years of knee injuries. He's fit now, he wants to play. Whether or not he's selected isn't up to him - he's under contract and doing whats best for him. He's always put the effort in too. If he's fit, I have no problem with him being an option.

Does this remain the case if going halves your wages?

Maybe Enrique could have his own gaming programme on LFCTV.See how he does with Liverpool on the new Fifa 16. See if EA Sports would sponsor it to pay some of his wages.

Self worth derived from work? Jaysus some people really have the capitalist values drumed into them. I would find a way to make life worth living without the need to be a productive member of society if I was getting 50k into my bank account every week :)

He's kinda like Bighead in a way and I salute him for but I reserve the right to an Enrique* on the situation.

Enrique gets plenty of slagging. However, he's had a better LFC career than his replacement Moreno!
