Pro pro tip: read the charter before posting!

Is it a ban, to say one hasn't read the charter? 'Cause I haven't read it and I've never been banned.

Anyone else find it surprising there was a behind closed doors game the day after a game? Would have thought that would be a day off considering we don't play for a week.

And for being painfully unoriginal and unfunny.

Not really, as it was for the players who didn't start yesterday , helps their fitness.

No, but it is certainly not basis for a defence if you are contesting a ban.

Probably just replaced today's training session for some.

    Just a fitness exercise.

I'm hoping we see more Firmino next Monday

    Some twitter twattle:

Lucas might be on his way to Italy, possibly on loan.
Moreno might not be kept and might head back to Spain.
Sakho will definitely be backup for the time being.

If anything it's the best time for it. Given that no-one playing was on the field for more than 20 mins or so, it gives them a proper fitness test, with a full week or recovery, so they should all be on the same page when back to normal training tomorrow and leading into next week.

Liverpool are seeking to burnish the Academy with some wonder-kid from Nigeria named Taiwo Awoniyi, also talk of Adama Traore back on (reports say - yes the Metro strikes again)

A whole week to wait for the next game, ffs hurry up already!

Have we been linked with any LB's ? I can't think of any off the top of my head.

Wouldn't be too disheartened if Moreno moved on as long as he is suitably replaced

Edit: There was talk of Digne from PSG was there any reason that didn't materialize?

Surely we won't go into the season with just Gomez at LB?

    .

Loan with option to buy at the end of the season?....which no Italian club has ever invoked ever.

Would be great if the club could just not engage with Italian clubs, and especially Italian players, we're like a magnet for the **** ones.

Although Lucas himself might fancy a few years in the retirement home if his pace is gone.

Talk he was off to Roma a few days ago. Who knows though.

"Magnet for the **** ones"? Really?!

We've signed world class players like Dossena, Aquilani, Paletta, Balotelli and Borini from Italy. If those aren't world class, I need my hdea exmanied.

Point of order, Paletta was a ****e Argie with us, only becoming a ****e Italian subsequently.

Watched him play for Boca at La Bombonera a couple of times, still as flatfooted as ever. Arched an eyebrow when I first heard of his Italy call up.

Really do not understand Rodgers at times. Talk of him getting rid of Sakho and Moreno. Fair enough they didn't have the best of seasons but they are more than good enough to be established first teamers for us.

Lovren, Allen, Lallana to name a few hardly set the world alight last year and he's constantly giving them chances, and 1 good game from Lovren and he's considered 1st choice again.

I'd be bitterly disappointed if we sold Sakho and Moreno

Will Moreno be moved on already??

    Surely not.

Where's the talk of Sakho and Moreno being moved on coming from? I don't think Rodgers has come out and said it has he?

Surely in that case it's the rags and gutter journalists that you should be confused by.

Sakho has been at the club a few years and still hasn't made a name for himself. I think he's probably our best defender but there's something keeping him out of the team regularly. Maybe Rodgers is considering selling him for whatever reason. I can't see Moreno being sold this year though. Despite his poor defensive efforts last season he's only young and fresh off the boat. He'll hopefully be around for another while giving him time to improve and settle.

We would be in danger of undoing a very good transfer window if we sold Lucas, Moreno and Sakho. Sakho in particular.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,872 ✭✭✭Dickerty

If Lucas does push for a move then surely Alex Song should be high on the list of potential replacements. I had to Google to make sure I hadn't missed him moving somewhere but it seems Barcelona are struggling to offload him.

Did you see how well he did on loan at West Ham last season? No?
That's because he was NOT good. Bringing him in would just be another expensive back-up. Let's at least aim for someone who would challenge for a starting position.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,715 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

He can't possibly be moving Sakho on while keeping faith with Lovren.

I can see Lucas going, now behind Can and probably Allen when fit, but Sakho and Moreno will still get plenty of games. Gomez will not play every game, and we obviously can't have Toure as 3rd choice...

Its metro talk and other unreliable stuff. How you can put any credence into those, I don't know.

Lucas has been gone every Summer under Rodgers so we'll see on that one. Hopefully blows over as it did before.
