Shouldn't you be in court at his time or are you charging this hour to a client?

No court today for me. And i charge every hour to a client. ;)

It was just a joke just a bit of banter buddy, it wasnt a rebuttal of any sort.

I find it best for myself not to get into discussions with people who muddy the waters over the 3% difference in calling someone rapist or saying they look like one.

    3% eh.

Interesting figure, what formula did you use to come up with that.

While glossing over the main point of the discussion.

Edit. AH just saw you said your a solicitor explains a lot ty for the info about not going into the high court over Helen calling Brian something on big brother. TBF it hadnt crossed my mind but I do appreciate it none the less

    I'm not your buddy, friend.

So Helen's use of the word rapist isnt the topic of discussion? Enlighten me further please.

Also, why does me saying i'm a Solicitor "say a lot" in relation to a discussion on a reality tv show?

And FYI the reason i said that i wouldnt advise anyone on going to Court in an instance such as this has nothing to do with the venue the comment was said in nor the medium used to transmit the comment.

Ha ha was going to put in brackets beside that just my opinion at first but I thought no one will bother will they.
Again no formula dude, what would you say the difference is? We can divide the difference between our answers and we will have a proper scientific formula then :pac:

Your picking who you empathize with most likelt becuase you see more traits of yourselve in Helen then you do of others in the house.

I would say I empathise with all the HMs equally. It's because it is only Helen whose being vilified, not that I see more traits of myself in Helen than I do others in the house.

You really aren't understanding my point.

'Join the club'? Unless you've been forced into prostitution due to financial difficulties and have suffered an unprovoked attack then we're not really not talking about the same 'club' here are we?

I agree with you on your other points. Of course she has a choice in how she behaves and it is a shame she's so defensive. However, unless you have been in her situation than you can't really comment on how easy it should be for her not to be so defensive and make better choices on how she acts. She is (and I hate this term) a product of her environment where she was treated like a commodity and like dirt. Others would be able to get over that and move on and not be so bitter about it. She can't.

I don't think it's necessary to demonise her. There are far, far worse people out there.

A lot of people have crap to deal with, it doesn't have to make you an angry person. I empathise with her troubles but she's done well for herself. She still chooses to act the way she does and I don't believe she can use her early years as an excuse. Maybe she should have spent the prize money on therapy instead of surgery. I don't hate Helen, I just pity her.

Will i do the friend pal bit or will we say its implied.

You advised me not to go to the High Court over the issue I was merely stating I'd no intention of doing so.

People are saying its wrong over what Helen said you are trying to steer the conversation towards the level of wrongness,.
If I wanted to discuss semantics I'd go into the law forum but I wanted to discuss BB so I'm here.

Is that cool with you. PAL :D

never mind the brian and helen thing, Im still shocked how BB could show ZERO footage of harri last night, not even in the bedrooms, garden or couch.

    What is going on there????

I also said it was wrong what Helen said. But her comments were in response to a completely over the top attack from Brian. She didnt start the row. She ended it spectacularly but Brian brought it all on himself and said some things to Helen which i would never ever say to a woman. Starting a fight by calling a woman pond scum, scumbag, shouting about her morals etc seems to be not in consideration here. Yet the response to that attack is being focussed on. Why is that?

There was a pair of them in it but her comment crossed a line. I also hate the way she provokes people, she was very calm, she could see Brian was upset, her goading of him was deliberate. By all means defend yourself but know when to give it a rest too.

I'm not suggesting it is an excuse but that it is the reason she is so hard-nosed and brutal in her arguments. Is she is perfect - Christ no, is she 'evil' - not remotely

I guess some would feel the situation has been brewing since they both went into the house, with Helen being a lot smarter and sneaky in her ways of putting Brian down. I dont think he handled the situtaion very well either TBH but it looks to me he bottled it up too long and snapped.

To me Helens words have a purpose like last night to rise him untill he blew up where as his are more reactionary to the situation. Sometimes he doesnt even make sense when he is ranting which mean he is in such a temper his rantional mind isnt working.

All this of course by BBs willingness to add as much fuel to the fire as possible.

And that is fine but Helen's behaviour has to be viewed through the lens that she was being verbally attacked (again) by a clearly unstable man. Helen reacted in the manner in which she does. But Brian was the party in the wrong.

So Helen is in the wrong because the person who attacked her is a gimp. Not the logic i'd use but fair enough

I don't think her comment crossed a line at all.
    I found it amusing.

She's so good at crushing the dope she doesn't have to get angry or shout, he's so easy to get to blow his top.

He upset himself,he started it but Helen doesn't start crying in the diary room anytime something gets said to her. Because she's thick skinned people think she's evil.

    What is pond scum?

    I've heard of algae

Is it some mutant form of super bacteria that kills off frogs and tad poles?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 492 ✭✭Wicklow Brave

Again I have found myself going to great lengths to defend Helen Wood....

I need to get out more.

    a bit like a xxxxxx and a xxxxxx ..........

As bad as it sounds, I can see where Helen was coming from. I too think, if they were no cameras he might not be so restrained when arguing.

Let's be honest that whole debacle last night was caused by Big Brother producers. They were all getting on so well on the previous night so they couldn't have that, let's throw in some very inflammatory questions and rock the boat, can't have peace in there we might lose a viewer.

Do you know what I hated, when BB asked who agreed with the opinions only Mark, Helen stood up (perhaps one other I'm not sure, I'll have to watch it again) nobody else moved for either side of the fence . So none of the rest had opinions at all............. really............. no they'd rather go and bitch in the bedrooms after behind the back.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,902 ✭✭✭power pants

Indeed, especially when everyone was pointing with their eyes and laughing towards Nicki and showbiz actually pointing

None of them stood up but Marc and helen:confused:

Thats no where near, what I said TBH best to end this conversation here if thats what your taking from what I said and using Helens name but calling Brian is a gimp is biazzare
You obviously have some deeper issue here with the subject so have a good day.

Joel at one point agreed with Jack, Marc and Helen about Nikki being the most selfish. (Jack having to name the person) But of course none of the others had an opinion until Helen was mentioned as likely to marry for money. They couldn't wait to stick the boot in fast enough then. But let's forget all about how it started - (Brian making it overly personal without giving an actual reason - personality of a dustbin I believe he said) Brian's a nice guy!

Nope, the clique gathered later in the bedroom to bitch again about Marc and Helen.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 492 ✭✭Wicklow Brave

Danny now into outright favourite at 3/1. Marc has drifted a bit but only out to 7/2 and Chloe is drifting aswell (maybe because she said she liked Helen a few times?). Joel at 4/1 looks the bet right now. Nick is the only outside threat.

It really is in the hands of the producers and how they will edit the show that's gonna decide who wins.

When asked which housemate would put themselves before the rest of the house

showbiz was giggling and pointing in Nicki's direction, everyone else was either smirking at nicki or saying "this is obvious"
