How do you prevent ticks on lambs?

Had a bad case of ticks on a lot of lambs this year.

Just dipped them last week (average age about 8 weeks) but looking back they should have been treated about five weeks ago.

So question is how would you treat young lambs about 3 weeks old to prevent ticks?

I have been told it is not a good idea to dip ewes when lambs are as young as 3 weeks on average.

I used Vector with good success rates this year, main problem I had was waiting for a dry enough day to put it on. Can be used on lambs from 7 days old.
