    Gentlemen
I am looking for some help.
I want to fine a good tailor for a suit fitting.
Time taken to make the suit isn't a issue neither is the cost.
And I don't want the hassle of travelling over and back to London for fittings somewhere in Ireland preferably Cork.
    Thanks in advance.

I use them a fair bit for shirts and trousers and find them very good. Their customer service is exceptional.

I can recommend a suit that fits, they have an office in Cork. Might take a couple of tries before they get your pattern right but that's pretty normal with bespoke.

Louis Copeland all the way. I use their store in Galway and highly recommend it. Great professional, knowledgeable and friendly staff.

What's the approximate cost of a bespoke suit?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 208 ✭✭dunleakelleher

Well Im assuming you wouldn't get much change out of 1500e

How long is a piece of string?
Maybe give Louis Copeland or Salingers a quick call to get a ballpark figure.

Abrahams on South Anne street. I've never been to them, but just as alternative.

Went with these guys in London and got a lovely suit from them. Very nice professional staff too. They have a guy that does measurements in Cork and Dublin.

As I'm investing in a suite, I believe I might as well get the shirt to go with it. It will be a jet black suit so no problem with the shirt colour. White.
Thank again for all the suggestions.

Is it a tux or for formal wear?

It will be formal ware. I have other colours but I just think the classic black and white shirt, black tie. looks fantastic. Boring I know, but a true classic look. That is why I want it tailored. Simple but well fitted.

    I'm glad it's for formal wear. :)

I wouldn't go for black at all, especially if it's your only suit. A navy or charcoal grey will be far, far nicer and more versatile. Black suits can look awfully cheap at times. Unless you're an undertaker or in a Blues Brothers tribute band ;)
