Can't connect controller

    Hi i bought a 2nd hand ps3,when i turn it on i get the screen saying "an available hdmi device was detected"i cant click ok coz i havent got the controller paired up with the ps3,have 2 controllers that are working fine with another ps3 so i know they are ok,what im asking is there a way to bybass this screen so i can pair the controller,thank you..

    Connect the controller to the ps3 via a usb cable. That'll pair it
