    Hi folks,

I will, everything going well, soon be moving to Dundalk with my partner and her 12 year old daughter.

With her age, we have been looking up some schools in the area, and was wondering what O'Fiaich College, and Colaiste Chuchulain (it's a new school, I think?) are like?

If anyone has any opinion on these, I'd love to hear them.

The best girls school in Dundalk is St. Vincent's - it's an all girls school and has a very good reputation. It may be hard getting in though.

O Fiaich is the tec and always had a bit of a name (I went there myself many moons ago). Going to be fairly working class and lots of kids from local council estate - it won't be the most academic environment. But would be very good in the area of special needs and would have a good pastoral care set up. I know a guy whose son went to an all boys school in town - had a terrible time / dyslexia partly ignored / hated school. He moved to o'fiaich for leaving cert and loved it!!!!

I don't know much about the new school but certainly worth a look....

Best of luck in your move and decision
