Ok so in the Federation mission. Rappelling down the building. I'm instructed to take out the first guy by using R3 I take him out, two others appear on the balcony, before I can do anything the first guy shoots me.

Other forums suggest there is an R2 over the enemies head to indicate when to throw the knife then my comrades on the building take out the third guy, but nothing, I mean NOTHING works. I simply cannot throw the knife. Anyone else experienced this and managed to get past it?
