Just watching the too hot for TV bloopers and blunders and the bloopers involving mene gene are class as I've never seen them before.

Just watching Saturday Night's Main Event from March 1988. I love when Slick cuts a promo.

Yeah, I liked that they showed actual bloopers both in- and out-of-ring, not just scripted ones

Watching KOTR 1993. Perfect vs. Bret Hart was a great hidden gem of a match.

I don't know is that really a hidden gem though if you were watching at the time? I loved it.

According to these stats there is just over 7,700 hours of footage on the network http://networkplaylists.com/hoursoffootage.php

Estimates I've seen for the US Netflix are it has around a similar number of hours with the Irish version having 2-3,000 hours. The content on both are widely different of course and a lot of the newly produced WWE Network content since launch is stuff like pre- and post- shows which probably wouldnt garner very many repeat viewings.

Perhaps I will get through all of it before I die then. It's been very enjoyable working up chronologically.

Just rewatching the 2014 Rumble, and it still baffles me that they didn't have Barrett come out at number 30 for a "Bad News" segment on Bryan not being in the Rumble. It would have been magnificent.

    The $1,000,000 challenge was added - http://network.wwe.com/video/v122020083

This one has Miz, Ryback and the Daniel Puder shoot on Kurt Angle.

According to Barrett that was the original plan, but they needed to push the streak match which is why Heyman went out instead

Original shows on Network such as Legends House, Culture Shock and others are fairly meh. The only one that is worth watching is Legends Roundtable that was originally on Classics on Demand (and they should bring it back) imo.

There is a lot in the video archive already, but I always ask myself "where do I start?" especially WCW and ECW PPV's. It is hard for me to watch an old PPV without watching the shows leading up to it.

Latest PPV's, NXT and some of the specials such as Austin's podcast are the only reasons why I am still subscriber.

I've been off work this week recovering and found myself watching a good bit of the network.

The "live channel" is abysmal. That feckin Tough Enough 4 hour special thing was on 4 times today.

Twice within the space of 3 hours. There's only so much Daniel Puder I can take.

The ECW TV for 1995 and first three months of 96 is on there as well as some of their "supershows" before they were on PPV. Some of the Hardcore TV eps have matches from the supershows.

Nitro Sept 95-Dec 96 is there.

    Raw 1993-1996 is there.

So you could start around mid-late 1995 and watch the TV and PPVs of all three. They are lacking on ECW TV but some of the matches are on DVD comps if you have them. The WCCW shows are sparse; there is a fair bit of late 80s WWF and the Clash of the Champions shows flesh out stuff from late 80s into the mid 1990s WCW.

They could do a better job at syncing the TV stuff but it's free so we can't complain too much.

Original content mostly sucks save for the odd documentary and Renee Young's show.

I really like the idea of Culture Shock, just wish it was 30 mins long, Corey is excellent.

Was just watching a documentary there on WCCW and the Von Erichs. Bloody hell that family was tragic. I felt so sorry for Kevin Von Erich he's like a shell of a man. Well worth watching if you haven't seen it before. The wrestling story was interesting too as well as the human story.

Network have added Feb/March 2000 Smackdowns and one from Sept 2004 (#264, Eddie vs Kurt in a Lumberjack match). Love seeing these random old weekly shows pop up! Iron Man Smackdown (#213) is up too!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 41,197 ✭✭✭✭Itssoeasy

Was watching the royal rumble 2001 and something that annoyed me was in the one backstage segment with HHH and Stephanie( the Drew Carey bit) Stephanie said wwf twice and in one the f was censored and not the other time.

Either they can use the wwf name or they can't.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,014 ✭✭✭✭jaykhunter

Forgetting to bleep an 'F' is an oversight by whomever was tasked with the job!
They can use WWF in historical footage, but some PPVs are still censored. I imagine it's just to get the PPV online in some capacity, and getting the 'proper' version is a distant issue.

I'm also more concerned about who booked Drew Carey to say "I haven't been watching WWF" or something along those lines in that segment!

The wwe have a tough enough special online now. Its a good watch. Shows how they picked the final 13.

Why bother with the live channel at all when there are litterally thousands of hours of on demand stuff there?
