    Townsville?

Had to actually check if there was a place called Townsville.

    And it isn't it.

Also have to watch out for Fred and the likes of Red_Kev. ;)

For some reason Australia is not popular.

No idea why it's not popular given so many Irish would have been over there at one time or another.
I drove all around it years ago, Sydney-Cairns-Darwin-Perth-Uluru-Adelaide- Melbourne-Sydney.

Did I pass through your location on my travels?

I passed through it on a leg of your journey, but then again I don't think I took a direct route.
I tend to wander and visit out of the way places. ;)

It's nothing to do with popularity. The bridge is so utterly non descript as is the area around it that it could be absolutely anywhere. It could be down the road from me in Roscommon, the UK, Brazil, or in this case anywhere whatsoever in Australia. There isn't a single clue to give an inkling of where it might be.

Sorry, but that's why I can't be arsed with this one. No offence intended.

But there's lush green grass on the right, not a bit of boring red earth to be seen and although there are 3 humans in the picture there isn't a single Ute!
You can't seriously believe that this could be just anywhere in Aus.

Exactly we can rule out a huge chunk of Oz.
BTW you would still find some utes in this area although they have gotten more cosmpolitan than most similar sized towns.

    Hooray, can't wait...

Not surprised I'm closest, there isn't a town in Aus that's more than 50km from at least one of my guesses.

jmayo, are the pics on the way? I'll be heading home soon and after today's suspense I'm not sure I'll last until I get home

    jmayo, jmayo, ooo oooo ooo....?

Ah come on now be nice :(

I am surprised no one even bothered asking the state or territory.

    BTW it is NSW.

And I can definitely find a few towns in Aus that is more than 100k from your guesses.
Shure you didn't guess Kalgoorlie :D
