    I'm voting No know because,
Leo coming out was a stunt.
The No posters being torn down made me decide to vote no.
Children are going to robbed of a mothers love.
Religious freedom will no longer exists.
Children won't be taught how to live there lives by the bible in school.
    We are voting for sodomy.
As a teacher I will have to teach the law of the land and that same sex relationships are equal.
Where is this yes side getting a there money.
Somebody on TV said they were voting no and there were talked down.
There's a gay agenda, the TV is full of gay men reading the news, the rose of Tree, the Eurovision and the GAA.
Churches will be forced to marry two men or two women.
What will be Next will people want to marry there dogs or cat.
Marriage is between a man and woman.

I say this respectfully but I mean it. I'm glad my children are not in your class. for what it's worth I am also a teacher working in a catholic secondary school.

The Quakers and the Unitarian church support SSM. But there are only about 10 of them. So by voting No, you are denying them their right to religious freedom. Is this right?

    Ah for....
No Professor, if I was to bully them into voting yes and show complete contempt to their beliefs I would be denying them their religious freedom.

If the cakes had images of bakers being fed to the lions, I'd understand the objection. What sort of love would be going into that cake anyway, if the baker was only doing it under duress? You can taste the difference.

Ha - I used to be a chef. We did a lot of weddings.
Every single fecking tray of fecking pavlova I ever made was under duress - bloody wedding party never noticed.

Should the baker not have the freedom to not bake a cake if he so chooses?

You cannot refuse access to services based on someone's sexual orientation in Ireland. From the department of justice:
Irish equality legislation prohibits direct and indirect discrimination in the area of employment and in the supply of and access to goods, facilities and services, on any of the following nine grounds - gender, marital status, family status, sexual orientation, religion, age, disability, race or membership of the Traveller community.

But, but, but, Paddy Manning is going to Vienna for the Eurovision and he's a dedicated plain speaking No Voter from Mothers and Fathers Matter, a group set up to oppose marriage equality

P.S. I do believe that, like me, you are taking the piss......... :D

Nobody is being bullied to vote one way or the other. It's a private ballot.

I'm not saying that at all, that's already the case anyway and I'm all for ending that. I'm just saying people are being forced to support something that is against their religion whether it be from the law as seen today up north or through the bullying that we see down here.

Bullying like being called disordered? Abnormal? Having it splashed across lampposts that you are somehow not suitable to be a parent?

    Give me a break.

People are getting bullied for wanting to discriminate against other people? Oh the poor things.

It's not as simple as that though is it? The No campaign have made a few good points and most of the response to these points has been "**** off and stop discriminating you prick"

The right to free expression does not include the right to free action.

That is, you are perfectly entitled to believe that gay people are second-class citizens, but you are not entitled to act on that belief.

That's the very core of anti-discrimination laws and is what these bakers fell foul of.

But by voting down the referendum on the basis of your religious beliefs, you are not allowing them to practice theirs (despite the fact that voting for the referendum would in no way affect your practice of your own religious beliefs). How can this be right?

I'm trying very hard to stick to the charter and not say what I'm thinking.

You and your ilk are what kept Ireland in the Dark Ages up until the 1980s. The Catholic Church have done infinitely more damage to our country than good. They shouldn't have any say in our laws or schools.

    Have they though?

This is why I was happy enough to see No voters out earlier - I was curious to see did they have any decent arguments (not holding out much hope but you never know). Then yerman and his sneaky flyers pissed me off.

I'm not sure where that response has been. But if you want to raise any No campaign point, I'll address it.

I am in no way supporting Asher's bakery but is there not a bit of hypocrisy at work here.
The bakery been found guilty of discrimination. While at the same time the N.Ireland government/executive refuse to alllow SSM, even though it is legal under UK law. Part of the UK, when it suits!!

    Poe's Law:

without a clear indicator of an author's intention, it is often impossible to tell the difference between an expression of sincere extremism and a parody of such extremism.

A Yes vote would make it difficult for a government to put in legislation that makes a man and a woman favorable to a same sex couple in adopting a child, which I think is much fairer on children.
