Reaping the rewards of helping out an elderly neighbour this morning. I was handed a knife and told to help myself to some ripe rhubarb. So the perfect recovery breakfast after a long run consisted of the fresh rhubarb roasted, with cinnamon and some toasted almonds. Then made up a few of the banana/egg 'pancakes' as a means of getting the rhubarb into my mouth, and added a handful of raspberries.

Not pictured is the steak "dessert".:pac:

Lol Mrs Fox, the way the photo split the text at first it looked like you wrote 'Milk, topped with berries, fruits and nuts.' :D

I never have breakfast so can't really partake in this thread. I usually have a nutella coffee though, does that count?

Tried roasting avocado this morning. Yum! With fried egg, sauteed mushroom, grilled tomatoes and gem lettuce. Squeeze of mayo and sprinkle of mushroom powder.

My first attempt at homemade granola. It got a little overdone, next time I'll use a bigger baking tray to get it evenly baked in less time. But topped with berries and natural yoghurt it's a nice alternative to porridge!

I've been making granola for a long time now - I love how much you can vary it. Bit of cinnamon in one batch, bit of vanilla in the next. Or make it with coconut and add a few chocolate chips after baking - Bounty Granola! :D

Mmmm, Bounty Granola's going on the list! I just kept it simple with oats, almonds, honey and coconut oil, but I'll definitely play around with it :)

Soft boiled eggs; one to dip soldiers in and one in a cup with bread, butter and a drop of milk. A nice cup of tea to go with it. My favourite breakfast!

I made this banana bread last night and added in chunks of dark chocolate and sliced almonds. Only had strong brown flour & not wholemeal so it came out really bready and much less like cake than normal. Love it. My last batch was ridiculously sweet so this was a very nice counterpoint to that.

Glad you enjoyed it, I use frozen berries but now see there is another hepatitis warning. Why are they still allowed to sell them?? Unreal. Anyway gonna throw my frozen berries out in case the kids get sick from them. Back to fresh ones.

Use them to make jam - hepatitis is destroyed by boiling the fruit for one minute
