Ryanair duped by Chinese banking scam

Well it seems Ryanair have been taken for over 4 million , They have managed to freeze the transfers dead in transit. Lucky escape ?? I know of at least one poster that will be jumping with joy on this topic.

With paddy powers last year and Ryanair this year ............

None as yet, very tight lipped so far if i come across anything i will of course drop here .

Not much more but a more corporate report, still no ideas on methodology , my guess is its APT , or targeted attack, using the typical stages and vectors .

If there's one company that would notice this its Ryanair ... sounds like they caught them in the act and have stopped the the transaction in its tracks!

The reason i say APT is that they specifically took from a fuel account one that tops up and drains out quite often. Yes managed to stop a transfer of 200 sterling my sister was nabbed by the indian wonder boys and the "your pc has a virus" scam , while on the phone and while he was on the laptop , got her to call bank and nail transactions before cutting him off - all funds returned . ( She lives in uk so was lmited in recon but got most of what was needed to flag phone numbers, drop locations C&C and urls as scam sites.)

Thinking back over this im leaning more now towards an internal fraud incident , Why would any hacker jeopardize the entry point , by doing one massive transfer , could have been an opportunistic lad who possibly penetrated a finance exec's pc and got the creds needed to access the account. Its not sitting quite right with me as they after only a few days announce that criminal proceedings will be taking place , surely the Rynair infosec (Johnny from shipping) team didn't track the muppet down that quickly ???? Any ideas lads ?

Yes, Ryanair bought something in China for 9.95. The Chinese guys simply added taxes and fees.
