I had it on 360 it launched on xbox one today and it launched free with games for gold.

I think it is possibly the best free game yet. Although I am a massive pool game fan

You all may be missing the "POINT", Its the manipulation of the Balls that counts.

You must be in "foul" humour. "chalk" it down, go get a lemonade might "cushion" the blow.

    Ok I'll stop now :-)

I dunno if its just me or not, but season passes seem to be going on discount far more frequently than they used to in the past. I wonder are people starting to move away from buying them before the games even launch?

I'd say that the companies are still figuring out how to maximise profits from them, to be honest. Despite the feeling that they have been around for ages, they are still a relatively new revenue source for them.

For me, season passes are utterly useless once I finish playing a game. I move on, and it's rare that I'll go back to a game. If there are enough people like me, then publishers will try and capture some of that market, trying to "crack" me by reducing the price while I'm still playing.

    Hasn't worked yet though :pac:

They're certainly attractive at the discounted price though, and at least you've given a good bit of time with a game to see if its worth shelling out more money. I bought sunset overdrives pass in the last sale, and its a quality addition. I'm just getting into Shadow of mordor, and while there seems to be a lot of stuff added in DLC, im not sure its a game I want to spend a huge amount of time on.

Yeah, there's a few games that I will go back to, but I've a huge backlog of games at this stage that spending more money on a series of expansions can wait.

If I wait long enough, then the price will drop even more.

I tell you what, deciding to work through the backlog of games has saved me piles of money.

yup, doing the same myself, I bought shadow of mordor last december and only booted it up last weekend.

howlongtobeat.com is a great website, I'm checking the average completion times for the games I own, and then picking and choosing whether to give a 10 hour campaign a quick run through or settle in for something more epic.

I'm not sure either! I bought it new on Xbox one yesterday in xtra vision for just €34.99 but I haven't even put it on yet!
I always thought a season pass is something that just allowed you to play that game on multiplayer online?

for background, DLC (downloadable content) is essentially extra content that goes on sale after a game is released over the course of a year / months, to attempt to extend the lifespan of the game / drum up more cash.

For the likes of call of duty, its generally multiplayer focused - more maps, guns etc.

Other games like sunset overdive / shadow of mordor , provide more story missions, alternative costumes, extra game modes.

As season pass, generally (but not always) allows you to download All DLC for a given game, and if some hasnt been released yet, it'll let you download it when it becomes available.
