Ok, it should be a LHD country, judging by the coach's door. Also, it's not necessarily an area that has Google Street View as it could be a 360 Degree photo (the compass). It's not SE from Turkey and Iran is probably the closes guess as that was "still a few countries away". So it's 2000 Miles from Iran. Is that right!?

The photo seems to show half the women covering their head, and the other half not. So I'm guessing that it's either an less conservative Arab country or a country that has a large population of Muslims. Or a lot of tourists :pac: I can't make out the sign, but it looks like Arabic.

Could be Azerbaijan, but they don't speak Arabic Same for Georgia (plus not many Muslims).

I'm gonna guess its one of the 'stans'...Turkmenistan? :pac:

The 24-hour rule I think only applies if the poster who got the last photo correct fails to post a new photo. If they don't post within 24 hours of being told they were correct, anyone else can post a new photo.

It shouldn't be the case that a photo lapses just because no-one guessed in 24 hours.

I think it was more the case that there were guesses and the poster did not respond within 24 hours so I would agree with invoking it in this case. Definitely not just because there has not been a guess in 24 hours.

No to all of the above. Almaty is still the closest guess so far.

It's the largest city in the region, so I haven't picked some hard to find backwater somewhere.
