Hi I'm looking for some info and advice please. I am looking at going to some of the French/Spanish Campsites for holidays this year. Has anybody been? Can anybody recommend anywhere? Is it possible to book ferry and campsite together? We are a family of 2 adults and 2 children aged 11 and 3. Thanks :)

I recommend Cypsela near Platja de Pals which is about 25 miles from Girona airport (Costa Brava region). Excellent site for families, great facilities, very clean, lovely pool, extremely well run...look at its website for more info. Very handy to fly into Girona and hire a car from there.

    Hi sparky,

It is indeed possible. Many of campsite companies will offer a reduction on their ferry price if you book with them.

There is a travel agent in Dublin that used to specialise inn them - on abbey St - PAB Travel. It's an old place but my mam and dad used to book their camping trips with them all the time.

In terms of where to actually go... My advice is to think about the length of drive you want to have in France. We used to drive south (for the better weather) - port grimaud is very south France but it is truly amazing or la reserve is pretty decent too. A lot of family's don't like doing the drive though and as such tend to stick to Brittany.
