    Novi Sad

Looks like a Hungarian taxi with the yellow plate, and google di most of Hungary in Autumn/Winter so that fits. Looks like south or east Hungary with the square church towers.

    Szeged ?

    Can I invoke a 24 hour rule?

This is a photo of my own - maybe a bit easy, but sure let's see how it turns out.

    Wellington, New Zealand?

That is wrong on so many levels:eek:

No 24 hour rules I'd say:)

No 24 hour rules? So where do we stand now?

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 7,410 Mod ✭✭✭✭cdeb

    Wellington is spot on.

    And game back on!

(24-hour rule was invoked earlier in the thread I think; if we want to go back to bijapos' turn, fire ahead. But a 24-hour rule makes sense, unless someone wants to PM people after a length of time without a post?)

Back to Fred's pic, I'd imagine:

We got an answer to this didn't we?

    That Hungarian town?

Edit - wait - Szeged was a very good guess, but wrong? Oops! :o

Well, at least mine was an easy interlude. :)

Fred's one wasn't got yet unless his comment "very good guess" meant it was a VERY good guess. The 24 hour rule is surely for people to post if nobody has done so after a correct guess

I found the spot in Wellington while that was going down. Thought it had to be souithern hemisphere and prosperous, hilly, big square playing field, took about a minute to spot it. Didn't know they had the funicular thing going on there.

So the other one is still alive then?

    That's exactly what I figured alright! :o

At least the thread is active again!

So - Hungary I presume going on previous posts?

    Gyor?

Edit - oops; what I have I started now?! :p

Can't stop people guessing on this new one but we really don't need two on the go.
Fred Swanson's one (likely Hungary but Fred can be cryptic when he says good guess;)) still hasn't been got.

Is it the town with about thirty letters in the name and seven of them have umlauts?

Betcha that place has a local nickname.

Oh that's funny, I didn't actually find the place, just noticed one church there that looked a bit similar. Have been looking at other towns since I posted that. Must go back and actually find the location now as I feel like that guy who fainted ten yards from the finish line in the marathon.

So I found it now, it's the Hungarian Reformed Church on the left and apparently City Hall on the right? Anyone who wants to see it, go to Kossuth Ter which is quite a short street and then look south. Anyway, we have another picture posted in post 686 so let's go with that and I have no clue where it is (Muddy River?)

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 7,410 Mod ✭✭✭✭cdeb

Looks South East Asian to me - greenery and clouds and mud.

Fairly vague I know, but there you go!

    Is it Sai Gon?

Is the bridge in the distance a train bridge?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,656 ✭✭✭✭Tokyo

The truss bridge brings to mind a former British Colony - India perhaps, or Australia?

    Or the River Kwai?

    Brazil?

    It is not Sai Gon
It is not a railway bridge
It is not in Brazil, India, Australia
It is not on the River Kwai

It is in South East Asia though
