I build medieval repro looms, and other medievally type stuff (making a bench at the moment from stashed branches (yeah I collect branches) and other timber. I make and dress up in medieval clothing (nerdishly researched) and cook pottage over an open fire (occasionally

Yes, we are a reenactor group, just that we focus on crafts rather than fighting. Probably more accurate to say we are a living history group.

I have a friend and sometimes gaming collaborator who's involved in that side of things too (Debbie's her name), she's quite the seamstress and often posts photos of a group in costume at events and so on - always great to see interesting and fun pastimes getting on with their things and showing people how easy it is to have fun

Good few blacksmiths in the reenactment community, but tbh I think they are mostly self taught, as we all are (mostly). There was a 2 day course on at Celt - http://www.heritagecouncil.ie/events/view-event/article/celt-weekend-in-the-hills-traditional-skills-training-event-1/?tx_ttnews%5BbackPid%5D=78&cHash=48ed7d7e27eb998738a5f3e948c2faa4 last month.
