I understand that there won't be many people that have a direct experience with chromecast, but you can probably help me with the router settings. My brother has the Chromecast working on the Netopia 2247.

But I was trying to help someone over the phone to get the Chromecast to work on the Zyxel P660 v3, but we had no joy. And from searching around the internet, it seems nobody else can get it to work with this modem either (even though it is newer than the Netopia 2247).

came on here looking for a solution. chromecast would not work on D1000. connected an old netopia router and its now working no problem.

To get Chromecast to work on the F1000 (aka Zyxel VMG8324-B10a), expert Kitz advises

- It wont work if IGMP proxy is enabled.

To change settings go to:-

> Network Setting
> Broadband
> VDSL Modify
> Under Routing Feature: Uncheck IGMP Proxy Enable
