    dont know if he's too old now but i always thought the lad that played the prince/future king of england in "a Knights tale" was the spit of christopher lambert and could do a good job playing connor.

    just looked it up. james purefoy. i think john carter was the last thing i saw him in.

    remakes drive me nuts they are either a slightly updated version of the original movie but moved to slightly more contemporary setting like footloose which was a pointless project or they take the original idea/plot and rework it so that its nothing like the original but trying to live on its reputation and popularity like the karate kid. That said the likes of Batman worked really well in its newest incarnation but I wouldn't be too optimistic on a new Highlander, the original always felt a bit dark and I suspect the remake will either be watered down or CGI'd to within an inch of its life.
