Has anyone else's 50w arrived? Did you get a 1A wall adapter as advertised? I got no plug at all, and it even says on the box that there's one inside.

if no adapter use samsung tablet or phone charger cable same connection at least on 20w version, since at least them ones have proper irish socket, where most that i encountered are useless since they are eu standard ones.Either way you should of gotten one with the kit, unless there are options like just battery (no charger included) seen some such ads before, since it saves couple $ for sellers and buyers, since some people dont have need for one,as most vapers usually develop quite collections of cables if vaping for longer times ;)

    Why are you selling it?

I suppose I'm selling ultimately on size.

No it's not much bigger than the 20w, but in the hand it's too bulky for me compared to the 20w.

I should have just gone for the 30w as I don't really like the Atlantis and don't really need 50w! :D I find the warm vapour from the Atlantis unpleasant
and I realised I am sort of happy with my silo, silo lite & nautilus tanks.

pueblo, just wondering if you are ever over the northside of Dublin, might be interested in the istick?

Anybody try the 10w mini version? Any good?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 11,602 ✭✭✭✭J Mysterio

Just seems superfluous to me when the 20w is so small!

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 19 angelcop

I'm not used to these box mods or whatever they are called so the 20w version seems kind of big for me actually! I want to try out the 10w. Also, the smaller the battery the better. I hate having to remove the thing from my pockets when I sit down. I've broken a few clearomizers this way.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 598 ✭✭✭RIchieNouveau

Have you held it in your hand Angel? It's much smaller than you would think if you've only seen pics online. I wouldn't bother with the mini because it doesn't have variable wattage and a VV devices at similar sizes with similar Mah batteries are ten a penny.

It has variable voltage .... why would I want variable wattage? It's the same end result right? It affects the level of vape. Turn the voltage up, more vape. Turn the voltage down, less vape. Same with wattage.

    Right?

    *n00b alert*

Also I haven't held it, no.

I've no idea about what the wattage does either.
If anyone wants to enlighten me, I use 1.8 ohm carton at around 3.5v at moment!!

I'm the same. I use 1.8 clearomizer always at 3.3v. I'm not into that cloud chasing stuff. If I want more smoke, turn the volts up. Less smoke, volts down.

Turning watts up and down does the same thing.

Why is that a big deal?

Variable wattage is just like an automatic whereas voltage is like a manual. The end results when changing the voltage the device reads the ohms of the coil and gives you the appropriate watts, whereas choosing watts will just give you those watts on all of your coils.

It's not a big deal and the end result is the same, and I actually made a mistake, you can change wattage on the mini, but only go up to 10 watts which is pretty low. the reason I mentioned it is because if you just wanted a VV device there are plenty of options for cheaper than the 30 quid I've seen the istick mini for.

My squape leaked a little on the ileaf i bought and the leak is actually going through the battery casing and coming out by the buttons at the bottom! Do you think I should contact my seller on this? I know the leaking source is my problem, but the fact thats its leaking through the casing could be bad?

I bought the 10w one anyway - I've never had one of these box batteries before as I always thought they looked a bit ridiculous. I just wanted to get a feel for it.

Anyway, I think I could handle the 20w one.... so my mini is for sale if anybody is interested :P

Skip the 20 and go straight to the 30w, which is well worth the extra for the stainless steel threading if nothing else. Same size as the 20w too.

Or if you must have the 20 I would use the ego adapter that came with it to protect the threads. So many people online with the threading gone on an otherwise perfectly working device because of the cheap threading.

On another note, I was comparing the 50w with the 30w side by side and the 50w kicks the absolute crap out of the 30w for build quality. Every feckin thing was rattling om the 30w. Not just the buttons but the entire strip that the buttons were housed in was floppy on the 30. Is that normal? Not even a slight bit of button rattle on my 50w.

The 50w compared favourably with any of the innokin products I've checked out. I don't have a single compliant about it.

Wasn't the threading issue fixed on the 20w as it's a new to the istick line?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 598 ✭✭✭RIchieNouveau

Unless there's a new 20w I haven't heard about (which is possible) then no, the 20w is the first istick on the market and has a few flaws, some big some small, that were nearly all rectified with the 30w.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 19 angelcop

OK thanks. I'm sure I read somewhere that they updated the 20w. Or maybe they updated it by adding stainless steel thread AND an extra 10w. So that's probably where I'm getting confused.

    I see the 30w has a voltage range from 2v - 8v.

I prefer low voltages, not into blowing mad clouds. Could I use a 1.8 clearomizer at 2v? I usually vape at 3.3v but never had a device that went down to 2v.

I'm not a fan of the "heli pad" on top of the 30w istick though. Ruins the simple shape the 20w had. And my regular joe soap clearos will look lost on top of it.

The 20w was their first with dodgy 510 threads & a fixed 510 connector. The 30w had fixed those issues, except for the rattling buttons,as said above, the 50w is the way to go,massive life in the battery & all issues fixed.

My nautilus mini has a manufacturer rated 1.8 (reading at 1.9) coil in it and my 50w istick won't go down past 3v with it unless I remove the mini and then it will go to 2, second the mini is hack on it jumps to 3. So no, I don't think the 30w will operate any differently.
