Van Gaal riling up the Liverpool fans, he may make it at United yet

unbelievable tv deal signed today, its like xmas day for all players, agents, etc, expect to see some pretty average players now earn even more ridiculous money. Cant see sterling signing that 100k contract either!!

Carragher weighing in on LVG's "Meltdown"
Van Gaal fought back about the long ball tag today & immediately people say he's lost it! Managers get plenty thrown at them from fans & press so I like to see them come out at times to fight their corner. Plus it's better than the normal cliched interview from most managers!

    Hey Bangkok.

Have that under 21 cap handy?

Also what's a common football fan you were on about earlier?

I think that conference was hilarious. He doesn't give a sh**e what Sam Allardyce or anybody in the media thinks and he's right. Hardly cringe inducing.

The one where he distributed phamlets to show that United play fewer long balls than West Ham or a new conference?

No I think it was the one where a Liverpool fan posted in the United thread halfway through a Liverpool match wasn't it?

Ah why do I even bother :(

Best one for us, esp. since Liverpool have a horrid run coming up in the next few games. Arsenal is a concern though with Ozil back and in top form.

Dunno. I think that's not a good result for Utd. Liverpool have shown consistent top 4 form in the last few seasons whereas Spurs usually tail off.

United usually always finished in the top 4 but we didn't last year. The predictability of seasons is coming to an end imo.

Well there were exceptional circumstances last year. The league is still probably entirely predictable at the business end. Chelsea City and Arsenal were always going to be in the top four IMO and Liverpool, United and Spurs battling for a place there too.

In fact I think I predicted Utd to finish 5th due to them not signing a CB. :(

Not a great result tonight. Pool are in great form and are grinding out results. Everyone thinks that Europa league will be the difference, but they have had a lot games already and still staying the pace.

We need maximum points from Burnley and Sunderland. Hopefully Van Gaal shows his balls (no pun intended) and moves Rooney up front tomorrow.

Hope Southhampton draw the next 2 games but I have a feeling Liverpool will beat them

    Arsenal, Spurs, Southampton, Liverpool

Those 4 are our competition for the champs league spots and all of them are playing better football than us at the moment. LVG needs to get his arse into gear fast because now is most definitely not the time to start dropping points.

    Burnley(h)
    Swansea(a)
    Sunderland(h)

We absolutely need to be taking 9 points from those 3 games considering how tough our fixtures are in March and April.

I hope you realise that without proof. You're going to be hounded about this comment sir.

I for one would like proof. But honestly I can see this going way of the Eight-Ball betting slip fiasco last year :pac:

If we approach our 'winnable' away games like we did against West Ham we won't be in the reckoning at all. We need to start going at teams and looking to get the first goal.
