    Is MDF safe to cut and use in a stove? I googled this but got mixed answers.

    No.
    Dust from cutting has bad rep.
    Gives off toxic gases when burning, leaves toxic residues in ashes and in flue.
    Some folk only burn it when fire is hot but it can almost explode once the internal glue reaches flash point.

    It's also an offence to burn wood based materials such as MDF in a domestic appliance due to their chemical content.
