How much would it cost to fix this problem in a tech shop anyone know?

normally bout tenner for the inverter, and about 50quid for the repair.

Don't know shops near you but ask around. I'd say you'll be looking at between 30-60quid. Yes, shops can vary by alot so you just have to ask around.

I got this repaired in Back from the Future. Not sure if it was an inverter or what but it's working again now. Also got the DVD drive fixed. Very good crowd in there.
