How much did McGregor win in those mickey mouse bouts before? Has he ever declared these earnings with welfare. I find it hard to believe that he was full time looking for a job if he was training all day on the dole.

He missed signing day on the Sweden fight :D

That's the great things about individual fights - very unpredictable. BTW, didn't see Siver 'almost deck' McGregor.

In fairness, he did knock him to the floor with a leg kick.

Aldo has some of the best leg kicks in the division, so it's fair to say that he thinks Aldo's leg kicks will be a big problem for McGregor.

Anyone else notice the really young kids that were standing next to Aldo when Conor ran up to him?

She's in Conors family, but sure don't let facts get in the way of your point.

Ok then. Yes, noticed the kid.

Thought it was weird to have such a young kid at a UFC event, and assumed she was related to Aldo. Now knowing she is related to Conor it's very odd/ deliberate that the McGregor family and Aldo are seated together.

You're raising a fair point, so sorry for jumping down your throat earlier. Yeah it was deliberate. McGregors girlfriend was behind her too. The whole Aldo confrontation thing was definitely preplanned.

Not necessaraily... guests would be put in the same section by the organisers both because they would be the good seats but also for security reasons.. its easier to guard a block than various seats spread around.

    Fair enough, makes sense!

I'm guessing Dana would be pissed, the image of McGregor roaring at Aldo with a little child about 2 feet away could be used by the people who try to discredit MMA as barbaric.

If I was on duty and I saw that happen I'd arrest him for a public order offence. You cannot try and instigate a fight like that in public.

Yes but the kid been there in the first place watching a fight is better.

It's his family, why wouldn't they want to be there.

The kid seemed to be enjoying herself anyway:)

If someone was trying to prove a combat sport was barbaric they would probably use the fact its a combat sport.

Well good thing you were not there then. Or involved in any promotion of a sport

Lads, enough is enough. This is an MMA forum. It's for discussing all aspects of mma. It's NOT for discussing people's accents, what they had for breakfast, or how you'd love to arrest them (ffs ).
Get back to the mma talk. Anyone who continues to troll or spout out a load of nonsense will be banned from the thread.

UFC were lucky Aldo remained calm and just laughed at Conor, if Conor did that someone who did feel threatened and reacted aggressively to Conor it would have been all out brawl.

Could have easily turned into a Diaz, Noons or Shileds, Mayhem miller situation but it kids and public would have caught up in the middle of it.

That was something wild, glad I stayed up for it - tired at work today! if he had an extra ten seconds in the first round he'd have knocked him out... lost a tenner on that haha!

Have to give props to Aldo for remaining cool, calm and collected when McGregor charged him, he's a pro.

I've decided I am going to vegas to see the Aldo fight, I have always wanted to go, I am moving to Florida in a couple of months anyways so shouldnt be that expensive - booked a hotel already, I don't know if anyone one would have any advice on sourcing a ticket or anyone who has been to a fight in the MGM, best tickets to look for? will it be near impossible to get one? any presale codes etc?

    Many Thanks

I'm a warrior sitting at a keyboard but I'm no keyboard warrior.

Back to McGregor. UFC top brass are probably happy with the hype he's creating but its all getting a bit WWE and at some point they might start thinking he's cheapening their brand. I predict him getting dropped in some sort of acrimonious circumstances in the next two years.

Will suit Conor nicely, he said he wants to get in and out quickly.

Before Conor fights: He's all talk, he's only fought bums before this one will be the real test

After Conor fights: Ah he was ok but he's still only getting hand picked fights to build hype etc.

    He can't win :pac:
