At this stage I think if we kept Moyes we would be actually better.

Some seriously baffling decisions, Moyes like baffling. Rooney deeper than Mata and Falcao deeper than Di Maria compounded by Phil Jones taking corners.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,690 ✭✭✭ElChe32

Our passing is atrocious. Phil Jones and Evans can just go. Mata can't play CM he's too weak. Rooney can't play CM. Falcao must be so pissed off the supply to him is amateur at best. Holy f*ck that was awful.

Phil Jones taking corners is one of the most baffling things ive ever saw any manager do.... I am truly shocked by LVG.
    He has lost it already.

Lads I'm being completely honest and rational here: if this is how LVG wants to set up the team then he should not be managing the club. Its shockingly bad.

Watching a united game actually takes effort... its hard to watch.

Just as bad as when Moyes was there, probably worse

What the fcuk is LVG playing at. How can a world class manager with all his experience not see that whatever strategy/formation he is using is not working??

What has happened in our last few games is easily as bad as Moyes football at its worst.

Im genuinely speechless at what is happening here. We have a squad of top quality players and we're playing them all in fcuked up positions. and to top it all off we have Phil fcuking Jones taking corners!!!!

    Baffling.

If his balls are really as big as previously claimed, he needs to accept that he is and has been wrong with his formations and selections and change it up. My fear is that he's of the Trappatoni frame of mind and he will refuse to change anything as that may come across as him admitting he isn't infallible.

At least this might dispel the ****e about Rooney being a midfielder.

Teams know exactly what they need to do. Give us the ball, defend for a bit in the knowledge that we won't create, then hit us on the attack.

LVG needs to sort his decision making out. If one or two players go out of form, that happens. If your whole team is out of form, it's the manager's fault

For the love of god please swap Rooney and Di Maria's positions for the second half and give Januzaj a run instead of blind. Get some pace down the wings.

Oh my god, Fellaini warming up....

Lads, am I tripping balls here? And what in the actual fúck does Herrera have to do to get a game? Forget that actually, he'd probably be played up front too.

    Exactly this.

4/5 players not playing in their natural positions is just stupid, imo.

Jones taking a corner is a very worrying sign. It is so bat-sh!t crazy that these were team orders.

Our tallest player TAKING the corner.

    - To go into CM - great, and a sensible decision

    - Up front to hoof it up to - Get the fúck

If Wilson comes on for Falcao at any stage I'll lose the plot.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,812 ✭✭✭thelad95

It's probably a bit premature to call for LVG's head. If he wants to build a team long-term that can play 3-5-2 that's fine but there isn't one player on the pitch that looked comfortable or knew what they were doing. We simply don't have the players for it. Rooney in midfield and Di Maria up front is just astonishing. It really disheartens me to see Falcao out in midfield receiving the ball with his back to goal. That's not the type of player he is.

The best thing about this game is that when it's over, I'll be 45 mins closer to wife coming some so we can boxset House of Cards.

    Evans off for Wilson.

    Perhaps 4-4-2?
