Micro USB plug adaptors

I bought a couple of micros USB adaptors to use with the numerous USB cables in my collection with the plan to have a selection of chargers.

The ones I bought off eBay worked, however did not seem to be putting a sufficient charge into the device (Windows Phone and a Samsung tablet). I would have assumed all of them were standard.

This is a sample of what I bought. I also bought one in Tesco which also didn't supply enough juice to the device.

Is there a specific volt/amp I should be looking out for? My other mobile chargers are 5V/2Amp.

1amp....you'd want a 2amp charger for fast charging.

Should be able to buy them local without any hassle for cheap too. Cheap Chinese plugs would have me concerned. Had a friends house nearly burn down due to an ebay apple charger. (That being said, it was a Macbook charger, so more output involved...)

I've been keeping an eye out and haven't come across anywhere selling these adaptors. Any suggestions where to get them?

I want to buy 4-5 of these, so at 14 EUR a piece it's a little high. I know the ones I got form eBay are fairly rubbish but they were only a couple of quid each. There must be something at a better price.

There's a reason they generally don't put sockets in a bathroom.

These days it doesn't make a lot of sense to have multiple chargers like that. Especially if you are travelling.

In home store and more for about €6 but it seems pretty. Dunno how long it will last. Mine only does up to 2.4a though.

iPads need 2.1a theses days btw.

Interesting weekend trying to get this sorted. I got a 5V/2A thing from home Store+More. It was not charging the phone at full speed though. I also found an USB wall plug I got with a ZTE phone, it says output is 5V/700mA, yet it's charging at full speed.

I was assuming ampage was the reason for a sub-par charge, but quality must come into it. Still not really sure tbh.

Did you use the same cable.

A lot of then don't output what they say they do unfortunately.
