Think Roma manager mentioned in the summer tour that he would only sell strootman for a triple figure bid

Strootman's worth between £25m-40m. It'd be crazy to buy him for much more than that.

Weve had a bid for Dybala rejected apparently.

I wonder if there is any truth to it. Another stirker doesn't make sense.

Also lepsort10 The French magazine claim an exclusive on Wednesday and say that we have started talks over a Marquinhos transfer.

Trying to get him this window apparently. PSG defender who isn't making the first team afaik.

He's a good player but I don't think he's 100% suited to the PL. Would probably suite playing a back 3 though.

    Oops

    http://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/jan/14/manchester-united-suspend-european-scout-torben-aakjaer-facebook
Manchester United will hold high-level talks on Thursday about whether to fire one of their European scouts after becoming embroiled in a race storm that has gone to the top of the club.

A spokesman from United confirmed they had suspended Torben Aakjaer within hours of being alerted to a stream of racially offensive Facebook comments in which one mosque is described as a “conspiracy-potential prayer-shop” and there is support for Denmark to close its borders and put “extra personnel on every crossover and exit so all that eastern Europe dirt and sh.. can be kept out.

Oh my word, some guy I've never heard of said something on Facebook. Instruct me on how outraged I should act.

Speaking of Moyes did you guys see the equaliser his team scored tonight? It was Barca-esque, fantastic build play and passing. Far from a rigid static crossing game.

    Take a look for yourselves.

As much as I wish Moyes had gotten a chance it's starting to just annoy me when I see him mentioned, it reminds me the team is a year behind where it should be and a lot of deadwood that Moyes would have judged over his time there have gotten another year when they were already on borrowed time from Fergie's reign.

Would love to see him succeed over there. The United job was a big leap for him and it proved too big but there's no shame in that. Good luck to him

On second reading it would seem that I did in fact misread Liam O's post, my sincerest apologist Liam O. I've had the touch of a flu today and have had 9 hot whiskeys going on 10 hence the poor concentration. Apologies all round. You are a man. I'm a drunk little boy.

The BBC saying Fletcher could leave this window.

In the few games he has played this year he has been poor, a shadow of his former self.

I think it's fair to say he'll never get back to the level he was 5/6 years., so maybe let him leave.

I'm actually slightly surprised West Brom are interested

That has cracked me up! The intensity in his look while he's having a laugh and being polite. Fair play to him.

It has been annoying me when some United supporters have been saying that people are only complaining because we lost, I think a lot of supporters have rightly been criticising for most of the season even when we were unbeaten

I am hopeful things will start clicking but the reality is if there isn't a massive improvement and we only get top 4 purely because teams below us are really bad then you have to ask the question like last year if it's a good idea to give Van Gaal more money to build a team that may not ever get it together.

I don't expect us to play City or Chelsea off the park, but I expect us to be comfortable against the weak teams in the league by now and not have to bizarrely play 3 centre backs to deal with them.

I've talked to a few United fans over the last week and what I'm hearing from them mostly is "he needs to spend, there's no investment, players aren't good enough, Ferguson ****ed the club". This **** really grinds my gears.

Good to see the club are taking decisive action and not defending it

Speaking with a lot of my mates about united I've heard none say there is a lack of investment or that Fergie ****ed the club(although during Moyes reign a lot pointed out the dire state of our midfield). Some players haven't been good enough but for me LVG still hasn't played a formation and a team that allows united to better than the sum of our parts.

Much as it was with Moyes - the problem with United right now is a lack of quality in the squad (mainly defence), and poor management.

We need to sort out the defence, and I have more faith in LVG to turn it around than I did Moyes. That faith could be misplaced.

I am desperately hoping we don't play a back 3 at the weekend. We have, basically, a fully fit squad - we need, imo, to start seeing what LVGs first choice is. If it is 3 at the back, he's going to leave a failure imo.
