"180 passengers were almost killed when a Ryanair plane is believed to have landed on its roof in a light breeze at Dublin Airport this evening.

"The wheels fell off and one pilot looked like he was drunk, " said one witness."

Michael O'Leary claims "its all due to excessive Dublin airport charges".

Would have known weather conditions at Dub so can't imagine he'll be running out of fuel within the next hour

Would the winds in Shannon not be worse than Dublin?

    Maybe.
It may be less of a crosswind at shannon though.

They might be stronger but the wind direction might make the runway more acceptable.

    EI357 (MUC-DUB) Go around. 3rd EI in a row.

    Switching to RWY 28 Now.
Most likely due to the amount of Go arounds.

Change to 28 imminent according to ATC.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,507 ✭✭✭Jack1985

Switching operations to 28 shortly, looks like a worse-crosswind though.
